When the Silence Sung

When the Silence Sung

WHEN THE SILENCE SUNG

by Shubhranshu Dutta

And that was when the silence sung,
In the night so forlorn,
In the twilight of dreams;
Devoid of exuberance.
In the forest so deep
Depriving brutes of their daily bread
In the mind of depraved soul,
Where dwelled a friend bringing melancholy
In the cruellest of draughts
Along with a mighty fulgurate.

And that was when the silence sung,
In the sky so bare,
Bestowing God’s wrath.
Where domiciled a conquered man,
Obsecrating the heaven for his miscarriage,
In the vicinity of the devil himself.
When one finds quintessence,
When the paradise contravened
and the infernal reigns took over.
And that was when the silence sung
