Dilemma

Dilemma

He’s a dilemma wrapped in my thoughts.
His love like the waves washing the shore.
He sets his eyes upon me,
Like sunlight to a child’s eye;
Illuminating my life
For just a few seconds.
And then I realize,
I am his muse no more.

He’s a dilemma wrapped in my thoughts.
His love like the horizon.
Holding me in his arms,
He’d say, I never want to let go;
Meandering chaos in my heart,
For just a few seconds.
And then I realize,
I am his muse no more.

He’s a dilemma wrapped in my thoughts.
His love like the showcase glass;
Calm, yet serendipitous.
His touch, like fire,
Burning my soul,
For just a few seconds.
And then I realize,
I am his muse no more.

He’s my favorite dilemma.
And I hope someday,
I’d understand our love, so delicate.
I hope I understand,
How even though he’s my breath,
He takes my breath away.

As I wonder, ‘Why am I his muse no more?’
