Starships

Starships

Under the pallid alabaster moonbeam,
Was set a grotesquely magnificent dance floor for her.
The glittering and glittering stars
Served as
The most beaming disco lights.
Drenched in nocturnal nature of the night,
She danced under the starry
Chandelier of fireflies
On the rhythmic beats of her heart.
No less shimmer of the nightfall
Had been scooped down in the breathtaking
Dress she wore and twirled-
Her most prized possession.
Suddenly, she saw his silhouette
And it all changed.
If nobody was permitted entry in the wildest
Dreams of her paradise,
How on Earth was he not denied admittance?
Oh dear! Wasn’t it a sweet,
Torturous bliss to have your heart captivated
In someone else’s clutches?
Was it why he was here?
The corner of his eyes began moistening
From the tremendous magnitude of light that
Lit up her gloomy sky.
And a waterfall of teardrops rolled down his cheeks.
Smiling to himself,
He left quietly because he knew
Their worlds were separated by distance infinite!
They stood under the same mackerel dark sky,
Yes, but her never-ending blaze could never become his,
While his tears and smiles were never apprehended by her.
And on one fine day, it all ceased to exist.
