Imperiously had she claimed:
“I refuse any chains; never mind ’em to be golden!
I forbid my Freedom’s wings to be relinquished by any possible
Force on Earth.”
With a haughty smirk plastered on her face,
She fluttered her skirt with an effortless saunter.
But then he came along and
Her pride vanished to whereabouts unknown to mankind.
Disarmingly aware of her beauty and presence,
Hadn’t he known how his catastrophic eyes affected her?
Hadn’t he known how she loved confinement in the golden
Cage of love for the very first time?
And at one fine night,
He clenched her by her waist and
Left a piece of his heart in her care
The moment he drowned in her vainglorious unfathomable eyes.
He confessed ultimately to stop his racing thoughts:
“You’re a nightmare I’m too scared to face, for,
You transformed my heart into an epitome of natural disasters.
No more can I bear marathons my heart races,
No more can I bear the breathlessness at the end of the marathon when I don’t see you.
But again, running away from you, the magnet of thrill
has never been my style!”
His embrace was her wild paradise
That grew mightier in the passionate treasure of her memories.
“Tell me. What does the diary to your heart say?
Who does it belong to?!” He demanded in a husky voice.
And all her downcasted eyes did was mutter
A million times:
“Silly, it has always been you!”
