Eternal bliss had enveloped her. She had become more than what she was, like climbing a stage and turning into a lady from a girl. She wanted to suspend that moment and live more of it. The more she looked at him, the more she fell in love with him. She couldn’t hold herself but drew closer to him. It was platonic, something she had not experienced before.
As she stared at him, sleeping with his hand, supporting his face and lying like a fetus in a mother’s womb, she felt the urge to move towards him. And she did so, she went to lay down a little lower beside him, her back facing him, portraying herself as a branch of a tree.
He, then, extended his hand towards her face to touch her cheeks. She went addled about it, and, childishly, asked, “May I come much closer to you?”, raising her head to look what he has to say.
Keeping silent, he nodded his head in agreement with a smile welcoming enough to make her bounce from her place straight to his arms. Her excitement showed how she did not want to waste even a fraction of a second of feeling him so near to herself.
Lost is a word not enough to define her ecstasy. She was happier than ever, experiencing a massive victory. She had not felt such a soothing shelter in the greatest comfort zones of her life.
Nothing else distracted her. Not the birds perching that sat beside the window, not the rustle of leaves that blew with the wind so fast to make the window panes titter.
Nothing! Absolutely nothing!
Seizing the stillness of that moment, he raised her smiling face by moving her chin upwards and they both looked into each other’s eyes, his lips approached hers; the eyes shut themselves to make the most of the most.
Her heart pounded faster than the drums beat at a Red-Indian gathering. Her mind crazily guessing when he will kiss till the time there was absolutely no distance between their lips.
And like one wants to listen more and more of their favorite song, they couldn’t resist each other from this communication.
A talk which had no room for disagreement and a talk so rare where they just wanted to hear each other without speaking.
Silence prevailed. It was their first time.
